Volunteer Opportunities:
Book Fair
Help organize and set up books for our annual Book Fair. Profits help to purchase books for our library.
Clinic - Vision and Hearing Screening
During hearing and vision screening in the Fall, volunteers are needed to assist the nurse by weighing and measuring students, recording data, and escorting students to and from the classroom.
Field Day
Held in early Spring. The P.E. coaches organize a fun filled day with various types of outdoor games for the students. Volunteers help work the different stations and hand out refreshments.
Fifth Grade Appreciation
Fifth grade parent volunteers are needed to help plan and execute the activities for the 5th Grade Appreciation party held at the end of the school year.
Hospitality
Schultz PTO hosts Teacher Appreciation Luncheons at the end of each 9 weeks. Help is needed by donating food, beverages, and other miscellaneous items for these events.
Library
Library volunteers are needed on a daily basis - you can pick your day and how much time you can help. Tasks include checking and re-shelving books and assisting the librarian whenever possible.
S.O.S. (Save one Student) / Mentor Program
Volunteers will work one on one with struggling students in reading or math. This is on an as-needed basis.
Teacher Appreciation
We would love your help in celebrating our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8). You may donate supplies for school-wide gifts and treats from the PTO.
Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students)
This is for the Fathers, Step-Fathers, Grandfathers, Uncles and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day each year in a variety of school activities (car pool, class reader, computer lab, lunch, recess, dismissal). A schedule of your day will be provided.
Wunderlich Farms
KISD 4th graders have the privilege of touring the Klein Museum and Wunderlich farms. The students learn what life was like at the turn of the century right here in North Harris County. Volunteers are needed the day of the field trip to work and read about the different areas on the farm.
